Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent will feature stories "ripped from the headlines." The crack-smoking mayor saga is in reference to the late, former mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford.

The 10-episode show premiers on February 22 on City TV, but no word about airing in the USA.
