Just more proof in my eyes that Ryan Murphy is a menace and the primary cause of strife on that set. He encouraged and egged on the drama because it allowed him to keep the cast separated so they could be overworked and abused. He’s absolute trash.

Ooooh...okay, so I remember this period, because I was in the glee fandom and I remember some people pointing out Tina was absent without any explanation, but also I remember that her fanclub (?) said that she was absent for personal reasons. And I remember thinking back then "well, if it is for personal reasons maybe she wants to keep it private and they didn't want to point at her not being there, that's nice."

10 years too late, let me just say "Fuck them."

I was always under the impression that that was when she was filming that Lady Gaga video (I want to say it was "Marry The Night?"), I had no idea until very recently that she missed those episodes because of a punishment. I knew the writers were dicks, but I thought not mentioning why she was missing (whereas Darren got a big setup for missing episodes) was the extent of their dickishness.
