I've seen people mention wanting to discuss The Brothers Sun a few different times so I thought I would just make a separate post for it

June talking about how encouraging May was about hobbies really shines a whole new light to the scene where Bruce meets May. She's a boss who demands a good work-life balance of her employees; he first and only question she asked Bruce was about his hobbies, lol. I hope we get to hear more about her from June in season 2.
And I love how much the show humanizes each character. That montage of all the mob bosses doing their own thing was hilarious. And the Lipton Tea!!! Omg, lemme tell you, I was DELIGHTED that Mama Sun called it out.
Pasting what I said in the What We're Watching Post last week: It's interesting what they chose to directly translate vs interpret because there's a few cases where the subtitled translations are clunky (eg. "So-and-so washed their hands in the golden bowl" instead of saying that the person retired from the Triad). The one that annoyed me the most though is the creed that the Boxers kept saying because it has nothing to do with "evil"; it just means thorough extermination (the words literally translate to "cut grass and pull/destroy roots"). There's a nuance there that gets lost when they randomly added the word 'evil' to the interpretation.
I'm very much against fixing a man but I can work with househusband-coded Charles, lol.
