I've seen people mention wanting to discuss The Brothers Sun a few different times so I thought I would just make a separate post for it

I wouldn't mind seeing them together (I'm always ready for hot people to hook up!), buuuuut with the caveat that I think in their present states, they aren't ready to have a healthy relationship. I need to see them to do some healing first so that their relationship isn't all about bonding over their similar traumas. I want June to stick around, which means I don't want them to jump into a relationship, have it go sideways, and then see her character disappear.
Same!! Give me that slow burn because they both individually have some healing to do.
That said, I really like how much agency the writing is giving Alexis. Unless one of them gives up their career, Alexis/Charles will never work in the long run.
I liked that the roadblocks for Alexis and Charles were realistic. As he pointed out, she couldn't exactly bust the triads and then start openly dating the son of one of the triad heads and hope to continue her career trajectory.
The one day they had together was fun but it was a temporary fantasy unless one of them was willing to give up their current life in order to be with the other.
I agree about the show giving her so much agency though. Often a role like this would have had her making very different choices because she was so in love with Charles or made her completely ruthless. The way she was written, we got to see both her her ambition and how much she was drawn to Charles, and we got to see the conflict it created for her.
