My dad had an old great uncle whose apartment he had to help cleanup after the uncle died. He found a cardboard box full of old, used tissues. Now, I can't tell you for sure what those tissues were used for, but he also owned an extensive collection of Playboy magazines. Make of that what you will.

People are gross and do disturbing things.

My family tell this story about a neighbor they had when they were kids, she was a hoarder, used to keep food in her clothes or bags and would rot and stuff like that and when she died and cleaned her house found old cans filled with 💩💩 in the walls and floors.

And you know when you forget to throw some trash after you eat, and you put it on your bag to dispose it later and you find it? When that happens here they like OK doña Anita, throw that away.

I knew people who worked in banks here in New Orleans and after Katrina, some of them helped to go through the flooded safety deposit boxes for their bank. Like, it was all above board and documented and a lawyer present, but they told us about some crazy shit in the boxes, like used pads, toilet paper, etc. they thought it might be someone who was using it to clean up after meeting with their affair partner and keeping evidence, but still gross no matter what, especially after flooding in Katrina. Still, keeping it in your own suitcase in your house is one thing, leaving it a bank deposit is so much grosser to me.
