Apparently, Angelina saw the movie last week and immediately sent Ava Duvernay an email, even though they had only met twice before, to ask if she could help spotlight the movie. Ava said yes, of course.Angelina then invited a bunch of industry people, like Debbie Allen, Frances Fisher and...Sophia Bush (???), to her home over the weekend, to screen the movie. She also moderated a panel yesterday.
Can they Riseborough the movie and/or Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor ? Or did this "grassroots" campaign starts too late have an impact ?
