Todd Field spent the 16 years between Little Children and TAR making very expensive commercials, but directors don't get Oscars for GE ads made for the Olympics!

I'm not a fan but they aren't wrong. She can't break the contract unless she has a right to veto directors (she isn't important enough for me to think that she does). She can let time wait and then come up with some excuse, but not the day he's announced.
