This really is a phenomenal year for movies, imo. I haven't seen all of these yet but All of Us Strangers should replace Maestro.

I don't either towards Cooper but I heard my mom watching it over the holidays before seeing it and just the dialogue turned me off. When I actually watched it, the whole thing was so ~*~this is important! without landing on anything of value.

Oh God, I assumed this movie would be everything I dislike in movies but your comment further proves that I would deplore it. I desperately do not want it to get nominated because I'm no so tired of these try hard mess movies getting a pat on the back. The rest of the field looks pretty solid this year, so I'd just love for the powers that be to gloss over this Oscar bait film and keep it moving.

i honestly don't think it's as bad as its biggest detractors say it is, but it really isn't anything special. cooper definitely puts too much dip on his chip so to speak but there are a few really good sequences that made it a worthwhile watch for me (((especially if you read blind items about cooper in particular lmao)))
