Kristen Stewart on Twilight: “It’s Such a Gay Movie”

Kristen Stewart says Twilight is ‘such a gay movie’:

“I can only see it now […] It’s such a gay movie… I mean, a Mormon woman wrote this book. It’s all about oppression, about wanting what’s going to destroy you. That’s a very Gothic, gay inclination that I love.” pic.twitter.com/k7FrOzsuwU

crazy how everyone just loved and still loves this racist, veiled pro-life bullshit in book form.

I read the first book and it was terrible and not in a so bad it's good way. I don't understand their popularity at all.

I felt like it was so bad it was good. Or maybe so ridiculous that it became addicting. I read it with a friend over MSN messenger. And it was fun for us. We kept making fun but got drawn into the story

It’s better than I’d like to admit. At least I could finish it, unlike Ready Player One, where I had to stop after chapter one and tell the person who gave it to me that I was never going to finish that.

ill tell you as an ex twilight fan lol

i was obsessed with the books in middle school (thats when the first movie came out as well) because it was my first taste to romance. i loved the whole ~romeo and juliet, they want each other but cant~ trope and it didnt help i found rob as a vampire fione at that time ngl. i liked talking to my classmates about the books bc at the time i wasnt on the internet like that, and its not like we were all reading books together or had those kind of relationships. idk i found it a fun period in my tweens, as an adult i can make fun of it all i want bc i would never reread them now and fully agree on its flaws

Listen, I can excuse a middle schooler being interested in this but the grown ass adults? I don't get the hold it had on grown women who were frothing at the mouth for Rob Pattison, lol.

I went to see the movie with my then-roomie who had read the books and told me I had to see it. I knew nothing about Twilight, but since we usually had a very similar taste in movies/tv shows, I figured I'd enjoy it. went in expecting Blade and came out disappointed lol my friend then told me the books were way better, so I tried reading the first one, but when she fainted the first time kissing him, I noped outta there.

I can totally admit I got sucked initially as a teen but even I got sense knocked into me once I read Breaking Dawn. I can't understand those who genuinely enjoy it after that. That said I can see how some people like the first movie for its unintential camp
