Watched society of the snow and absolutely loved it. More than I thought I would. I thought it was going to be very Oscar bait-y at the expense of the survivors but it wasn’t the case at all. Really well done, I was crying the whole time

Also A+++ cinematography

It's incredible and I liked the 'twist'. Also the narrator looks like if Adam Driver and James Franco had a baby.

I didn’t see James Franco but I definitely see a better looking Uruguayan Adam driver!

I love his accent too so I appreciated the twist

So beautifully done in every aspect. It's a haunting film and I was left with a pressing need to know if the survivors were able to overcome their trauma and the overwhelming guilt they must have felt and were/are able to live their lives with no regrets. The special effects done for the crash and avalanches were some of the most realistic I've seen in a film.

Yes I was thinking the same thing - the survivors’ guilt must have been off the charts. I especially think about Numa who if he would’ve lived just 10 days more would’ve survived and he seemed to be the soul of the group. But in reality he didn’t have the foot injury, he just wasted away :(

Oh, I didn't know that. I should probably read the book but the film affected me in such a way that I'm not sure I could.

Understandable yeah. I want to read the Nando’s book as well but yeah must be a tough read.

Yeah in reality he lied to the other guys and didn’t eat the meat. He weighed like 25kg at the time of his death

Oh god. I wondered if the note they passed around from him was a real thing.
