Out of context this sounds like a weird overshare, but he’s just like … talking about stupid shit he did when he was using drugs. Pretty common thing for people to do when they’re reflecting on their sobriety.

ia. i'm in recovery and at the beginning i think i probably told a lot of stories that inadvertently ended up being disrespectful like this (though not on this level), because i thought talking about them and being honest showed i was remorseful and taking responsibility/awareness of my actions. when actually learning proper boundaries and when to share things like this and when not to are a huge part of recovery and growth, but in my earlier sober days i definitely was shit at making that distinction.
