On the one hand I get it cause it would be annoying to go to awards show where something you did is being honored and then you have to sit though these hack comedians take cheap shots at you while everyone at home laughs. But also like get some perspective lol this is sooo tame and nothing to get upset over. She always is more sensitive at movie award shows it seems. She seems more relaxed and comfortable at music award shows - probably because she’s at the top of her field. I feel like she may feel slightly insecure in a room of actors and so jokes like these make her not feel included as part of the group lol. We know Taylor has been interested in dabbling in acting but it’s never gone very far or been as successful as she’s probably wqnted.

Huh that’s actually a really interesting perspective that I hadn’t thought of. At the music ones she gets drunk to the point of it being too much but here where we know the alcohol is free flowing she didn’t seem drunk at all. I’m convinced the academy hates her because they’ve had so many chances to nominate her and they just won’t lol it must be killing her that Billie’s on track to get a second one already

Taylor’s biggest insecurity always seems to stem from being seen as uncool. Like even though she’s been very successful both critically and commercially throughout her career, the fact she was never seen as “cool” probably eats at her. And that the film industry can be seen as a lot more snobbish and she’s trying to pivot into directing, she probably wants to be seen as a serious person and not be known for her personal life. But unlike music awards, it doesn’t make as much sense to joke about her music career at a film/TV awards, so they probably resort to jokes about her personal life more often.

if taylor wants to be cool then she needs to chill out sometimes, she's such an obviously tightly wound miserable person imo
