Didn't she move to Nashville for "values" more similar to hers? Honestly don't think I'd consider her better than him.

Nashville is a VERY different place than the rest of Tennessee (excluding Memphis) which is why the GOP gerrymandered the fuck out of it. If she moved to Franklin, TN THAT’S when I’d worry since that’s an actual conservative hotbed

Not to harp on but I did look up her comments (I didn’t even know she moved here lol). She was talking about the ‘values’ of living in a neighborly and musician-filled city. Which yeah, is exactly Nashville’s vibe ( ... )

I'm very familiar with Nashville, spoken as a native Tennessean and lived/worked in the city and around the city the majority of my life. And I looked up what she said again and it was my bad, she didn't say Nashville, but Tennessee. I just remembered Nashville because a lot of celebs say that's where they're moving but it's not. So I generally never believe anyone is actually in Nashville proper even if they say that's where they're going. Celebs especially mean Franklin and Brentwood areas.

As someone who has watched my home state be flooded with coastal people because they think Cali and New York are too "liberal", I side eye the fuck out of anyone moving here from those places anymore.

That’s a good point for sure.

Edited to add this for context: Lived in the hell hole that is Mt Juliet for the last 7 years and was so happy to move back to Nashville this summer…it’s like night and day. Which is wild considering we lived like less than half a mile over the county line. It REALLY matters where someone actually lives here for sure.

100%! Every area really does have it's own vibe and personality. I live way out in the burbs now in my hometown, and it's been hard living here after living in a really liberal area of a blue state for several years. It's truly a struggle to try and find a group of friends that have the same values as me. Granted, I really don't put myself out there much so a lot of it is on me. I really miss living in a liberal area, but I have such an amazing setup I'd never be able to afford in a city and have so much financial freedom, that it's probably gonna keep me here for ages.
