right like White Culture as a concept is just an assimilation/appropriation steamroller.

peoples that become considered "acceptably white" first have to assimilate and de-prioritize their own existing cultural nuance/values, as well as forcibly lose any cultural aspects that Whiteness deems Not White Enough

for groups that can't be assimilated into Whiteness, the tactic is to claim ownership of anything that White Culture envies and then rewrite history to pretend White Culture was at the forefront of whatever they're claiming even if in reality they were massively behind the times (see: Indigenous peoples of America and scientific/medical/environmental science being literally centuries ahead of Europe in many areas, but a lot of that progress got intentionally destroyed, denied, and delegitimized by White Culture to the point that most people, even other minorities, think of Indigenous Americans as being "primitive" and not having any sort of scientific aspect to the cultures at all while crediting white scientists when they "discover" shit that Indigenous communities have understood/known about/been saying for centuries... as just one of MANY MANY examples of this particular White Culture scam)
