i know these are huge shows of wealth and not practical bags....but if i had fuckloads of money i wouldn't want a stiff handbag I cannot just throw across my shoulder

The only time I’ve thought they looked good is when the olsens would wear them kinda distressed and like they’ve been well worn, which if I had something of that value I would never want it to be beaten up like that lol.

Hermes Kelly bags are kinda cute though especially the smaller sizes

mte. I know it's about the status but they are just so meh looking and impractical. Choosing the right handbag is such a process. So much agonising in the shop, so much trial and error. The amount of bags I've given away because I got sick of them after a few weeks, I will never understand being able to spend tens of thousands on one that's so obviously bad.

I've had 1 favourite handbag designer in my 40y. She went out of business to start another successful business. I have an eBay tag and buy them whenever they come up. They were super fancy and expensive. Spanish leather and Italian atelier production. I definitely spent close to £500 on a single bag. Now they're less than $100 on eBay. I get to fill out the few empty spots with a stupidly amazing bargain
