2023 has definitely been the most insane sequel to 2020 so far. In contrast I can’t even remember most of 2021.

Yeah, I think there was a sense of solidarity during the pandemic that's gone. Even with the crazy anti-vaxxers.

Now it just feels like we're hurtling toward this inevitable doom and nobody in power gives the slightest fuck.

yeah, there was the illusion(/delusion) in 2020/2021 that ~we were all in this together and change was coming and the 2022/2023 hit and the world exploded, and right wing ass hats took over and wars broke out and people are shitty to each other and selfish and money hungry and the things we love no longer are with us and yeah this year sucked pretty hard

I can remember 2021 pretty well since that was the year I got vaxxed and got to do activities that had been put on hold the year before. 2022 on the other hand, nothing comes to mind.
