I’m not sure your point but Robert eggers and Ari aster got huge budgets for their most recent films and they have a much smaller filmography lol. Both didnt recover their budget either but I’m sure they’ll continue to be well funded, so those two examples prove sofias point.

That’s probably not true for Kelly, her movies are super low budget and I’m sure Michelle Williams takes a pay cut to be in them. Lulu no clue what her upcoming projects budget is

Sofia has a decent track record commercially and critically so honestly she shouldn’t have to go to her dad, which goes to her point. I mean you have two less proven male indie directors getting huge budgets after two films

Also Ari and Robert clearly have no studio interference given what they make lol. And again they’re less proven and young filmmakers

you're right and your wrong cause francis did launch it. but sofia and roman have owned american zoetrope themselves since 2007, and the company still has to find the money somewhere it's not all coming from their dad. she talked about almost raffling off a game of pickelball with jacob elordi to pay for the movie, clearly her dad is sinking more money into his own project than his kids projects.
