Bummer. This would have been a great opportunity for someone non-binary.

I always viewed Murderbot as male, but I know some people viewed the character more female, so I was wondering which direction they would go.

I've heard so many good things about this series from friends and folks online, and I just found out recently that they were novellas! RIP my reading choices this year. I've been so burnt out from reading Witch King by the same author that I've put off reading Murderbot anytime soon.

Yeah, I think only one approaches novel length. The rest hover around 150 pages.

Yeah I was shocked! I'm 300 pages in and dragging my feet trying to finish Witch King, but if this were Murderbot, I would have been on the third book in the series by now. So I'm kind of kicking myself for that.

Witch King is not Martha Wells best work and def not the one i would recommend to people. Give murderbot a try!

Maybe it's because I am a woman so my brain is biased, but I always pictured Murderbot head shaved with a feminine face, but tall/lean male body. Although when I looked up fanart after reading the first two novellas most of them look male.

I am curious how this will work since a lot of the narrative is in Murderbot's head since they're very socially awkward. Will there be voice overs?
