I like the intimacy of falling asleep together/waking up together but lord help me if you snore or breathe weird lol.

I think a compromise is don’t take it personally if you wake up to find me in the guest bed haha.

THIS. I fall asleep really soundly if I’m snuggling my husband but my GOD he wakes me up with his snoring. The number of times I’ve gone to sleep elsewhere because of it.

I have a separate bedroom from my husband because I cannot stand sleeping in the same bed as someone else. And I always run hot so cuddling for ages is a no. I did it for years and i HATE it. Our relationship is awesome and supportive and it just means there's two beds to do fun stuff in. But then I can stay up until 2am and he can sleep at 9:30pm like the nana he is inside lol

It works for us.

Yes my bf and I have separate bedrooms and we'll share from time to time, but in the summer it's unbearable. I sleep super hot and he would wear a parka in July if he could. Plus I have the hardest time falling asleep so I usually read a book on my phone until my brain dies down but he thinks that means it's free game to engage in conversation. Like babe you will be asleep in 10 minutes but everytime you talk to be puts off me falling asleep for another hour.

I know I’m not down for this after sleeping in my kid’s room for the last two months (she has anxiety, we’re working on it). I miss sleeping next to my husband so much!!!

But I also think whatever works for each couple is best and great for them
