I also work in insurance (on the client side) and auto rate are expected to be crazy. My broker said to be prepared for MASSIVE increases on my umbrella mainly due to auto driven factors

That makes sense. Seeing premium increase letters go out after accidents...whew. People are losing their minds.

Auto rates are getting nuts in MA. Surprisingly it's the direct writers (Progressive, GEICO, Liberty Mutual, etc.) with the biggest increases. They have to go to the Division of Insurance here to non-renew for risk management, so tripling premiums to get people to move is the thing.

I get about 20 different states, but very few Texas ones. CA and MN are consistent menaces though.
