This is too soon for him? He has one iconic role. It feels like he just about to enter his acting career as an adult.

Especially with the most recent inductees to the walk of fame this feels...unearned

Justin Bieber got one. Zac can get one. They mean next to nothing nowadays.

These stars mean nothing nowdays. But, and I say this as someone who is not his fan or of the franchise, how many other people can say they achieved such iconic status so young and then went on to stay fairly relevant as an adult? Zafron stays busy.

Like Culkin’s star was way overdue for Home Alone and some of his other 80s/90s films, but he also had only two big roles 20 years ago (Saved!/Party Monster) so someone could say he doesn’t deserve a star (and to them I say - it’s ok to be wrong!)

I know managements pay for these but it really feels way too soon.

the only things you need to "earn" a star is a career that's at least 5 years old (hsm came out almost 20 years ago lol), an ~written statement~, and then $75k if they say you can get the star. most stars now are just another form of PR for movies that studios will pay for

their publicists and managers arrange it with the committee and they purchase the star, the celeb is responsible for the costs of the event itself, too. it's not really as big of a deal as they want you to believe.

lol THANK YOU for everyone for diligently and thoroughly replying! I *DO* know how the stars work, I should have continued to say that it feels like a stupid move on his part when the last few like Carrie Fisher and Macaulay's did feel very special. I'm not sure what this does for him outwardly
