Jennifer Aniston on shooting the sex scene with Jon Hamm for #TheMorningShow: "They asked us if we wanted an intimacy coordinator. I’m from the olden days, so I was like, 'What does that mean?' the way she's like "we're seasoned!" as if not wanting an intimacy coordinator is a flex...

anyway the newest season of The Morning Show was pretty bad, sadly

Yeah, that's gross of her to imply. If she doesn't feel like she needs one and feels comfortable with everything, that's great! But not everyone is in that situation and they should absolutely have access to an intimacy coordinator without judgment or shame.

yeah I think the message should be that it's great she had the option to do what was comfortable, not that like, she's too professional to need it

Where did she say or imply otherwise? She’s talking about her experience and her experience alone.

"I'm from the olden days." "We're seasoned."

Of course she's talking about her own experiences. Good for her! I mean that sincerely and without Christian Bale energy. But not everyone is going to feel that level of comfort, even seasoned actors, depending on the environment.

again, where does she say otherwise? she is exclusively talking about herself and jon and their mutual experience hence "i" and "we". nowhere does she shame or judge actors who use intimacy coordinators. you are rummaging for things that simply aren't there.

...which is why I said there was an implication. But I'm really not interested in changing your mind on this. Have a great afternoon!

There really wasn’t. But keep digging.

"We're seasoned!" implies that people who are new to the industry are more likely to need one, which is not true; it is not simply a matter of 'experience'.

“We’re” as in she and Jon, not every actor of their generation/experience. I’m sorry but you’re really reaching with this one.

I know she meant 'her and John' - but how long you've been in the industry means nothing as to whether you might need an intimacy coordinator, or not!

I agree but that is not what she meant or implied on behalf of other actors.

Didn't realise you were a mind-reader...

NONE of us *know* what she meant - myself included - you could be right, but you could also be wrong.

That's just how she came across to myself (and others).

well no shit. and i'm saying that's not how she came across to myself (and others). agree to disagree.

Right? And she's in a position now where she can say no and people will listen. Young talent doesn't necessarily have that right.

The second to last episode was my favorite episode in the whole series, like edge of my seat kind of 😱 but the finale didn’t really do much with it
