7 years after discontinuing the fan-favorite menu item in the United States, McDonald’s is planning to bring back their chicken wraps. Earlier this week, McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger confirmed that the Snack Wrap will return - but as an updated version.
The Snack Wraps will be part of the fast food chain’s McCrispy (previously called the “Crispy Chicken Sandwich”) line. According to a news release, the McCrispy will be offered in “nearly all markets” around the world in 2025, and will eventually expand to include tenders and wraps.
When asked about the return of snack wraps during the Investor Update Q&A, Erlinger said, “If you think it about in the US business we have three really strong chicken brands between McChicken, Chicken McNuggets and obviously McCrispy. But McCrispy were in the early days, really building that brand and so looking forward, will we eventually have a crispy tender? Yes. And will that allow us to eventually have a McCrispy snack wrap? Yes. But we’re still in the early days of doing that.”
Wendy's, Burger King and Jack In The Box have already launched their own wraps.
