After Tate McRae credited Normani and Victoria Monét for bringing back dancing in music videos, Tinashe fans are upset. They feel not mentioning her was incredibly disrespectful given how she's been dancing in her music videos since 2012. The "Save Room For Us" singer was also formerly signed with RCA Records, Tate's current label.
Tinashe fans are really doing the absolute most cause Normani and Victoria was mentioned by Tate Mcrae.. Please shut up because you are really setting her up even though she is talented but that is who Tate found influential in dancing & She also works with Sean. - K (@sickofme2_) December 8, 2023
I’m a Tinashe myself however, you will not disrespect or hate on Tate McRae just because she didn’t acknowledge or think of Tinashe when she thought of two other beautiful, talented black women in the process. she didn’t ignore Tinashe on purpose ,get over yourself TRICK! https://t.co/wP2DeZPQdn - emancipation of ron (@ronstermind) December 9, 2023
RCA fumbled the bag & promo on Tinashe and tried to get her out of here, and then 10 years later debuted Tate McRae with what feels like a rehash of what they did with Tinashe.
Nashe SHOULD be mentioned, but I doubt that weird label would be all-the-way cool with that lol https://t.co/fCeCxVWTKy - bad girl good takes (@theellefromhell) December 9, 2023
T is literally the blueprint that RCA has given Tate it’s soooo frustrating to see tinashe not get her flowers/recognised for her impact https://t.co/y8SiwVF5X6 - 🧜🏼♂️ (@jasenmade) December 9, 2023
y’all give tinashe too fucking much. Like she’s talented rightfully, but to say that Tate was shading her because she didn’t mention her seems like a bit of a reach. https://t.co/2n6EtmU3L4 - leo’s groove 🧬 (@donttouchmeho) December 8, 2023 You get the idea.
