Using hate language and genocidal language is not the same as being a Nazi whose pretty big thing was, among other things, calling for the extermination of Jewish people specifically.

There is a long history of Jewish people being blamed for their own genocide and being called the real Nazis by white supremacists seeking to downplay the holocaust.

And there are real neo-nazis walking around demanding the extermination of Jewish people right now gaining in political power and dining political leaders.

I know you think you're being cute and flip but you're actually trafficking in old antisemitism so thanks for confirming once again that ONTD doesn't consider antisemitism important and making every Jewish person here feel less comfortable.

You know that the term Nazis isn't some catchall for "big bad person", right? There are actual neo-nazis walking around right now gaining in political power who would love nothing more than to kill Jewish people (and they have).

Comparing Jewish people to Nazis is actually old school antisemitism that goes back to Holocaust denial and claiming they were either the real architects of the Holocaust or they deserved it.

I'm not defending her at all, I think the things she's saying are shocking ugly, hateful, bigoted and ignorant. But goddamn, everyone acting so flip about calling Jewish people Nazis is why I hate this place sometimes and why many ONTD Jews have talked about how antisemitic this place is.

You’re doing the lord’s work here but there’s no reasoning with people like this. So many people on this site are chomping at the bit to let their antisemitism loose. In quite literally every single post about antisemitism most users will find a way to justify/explain it away. “Yeah what x said was bad buttttt…” And in every single post about a Jewish person they’ll resorts to antisemitic language and trope within seconds. I'll always try because over the years here I have had really good convos with people who are repeating antisemitic stuff without realizing it and who have apologized and changed their wording and ideas when they're made aware. Vice versa too, I have unintentionally hurt people with my unexamined biases and people were gracious and corrected me.

But yeah it's painful how many people don't give a shit.
