Psyched to see Eileen this weekend!! And maybe The Boy and the Heron. I'd go see Renaissance, but the fact that I can't use A-List and tickets are non-refundable makes it a bit more likely that I'll just wait for streaming.

I saw Shayda at AFI Fest, and thought it was really good! The lead performance in particular was excellent.

I've been on a tear of watching a movie or two every night this week - Quiz Lady, To Catch a Thief, Benediction - and last night, I watched I, Tonya.

I never saw it before, but as it played, I would have a thought or criticism (Why are they pretending Margot could pass for 15 here? Wow, there is some tonal whiplash with this DV) and then immediately remember it being a thing that people talked about during that award season, lol. Allison Janney was genuinely great in her role... probably the best thing about the movie for me. Sebastian Stan has never done anything for me as an actor, and that was also true here. Margot was good, but distractingly older than I ever remembered Tonya looking. I did not know any of Tonya's backstory, and while she clearly had a tough life, I liked that the movie didn't absolve her of being an asshole. I wouldn't say I loved it, but it was worth watching.

Not sure what I am gonna tackle tonight. I considered going to the Sunshine/Red Eye double feature, but I've watched them both pretty recently so idk. Might just stay in and watch something else new to me.
