agreed. it's clear taylor does not want to come off like the loser in all of this (hence why she did all the crap with matty). and like on one hand i can empathize the fear she probably had worrying what the general public would say about her when they found out she and joe broke up after so many years. but on the other hand it's very clear she's been trying very hard to push a narrative in her favor ever since the breakup announcement. and her fans were already dragging joe the past couple of months despite the fact that there's no proof he really did anything wrong besides have a career and not want to be married. which are not really reasons to despise the dude in the way swifties are rn

exactly. i think she knew exactly why he wanted to break up and it's out of her control bc she is who she is, but i don't buy all this crap about him not loving her enough to marry her or w/e. she ran with that after everyone started talking about it. sometimes love isn't enough. he didn't want that public life and that's not an exciting story for her to keep rolling with bc she's already wrote about the insecurity of that being their end for ages now. this new narrative gave a gut punch for the fans to sink their teeth into
