I'm back with another ONTD Original. Last time, I talked about the WGWG era that dominated the music charts in the early aughts. Thanks to glitterslugs, I thought I'd mention the white band man with piano. No, this isn't about Billy Joel. This is about the soft rock/soft alternative bands of the early aughts. I haven't liked a Coldplay album since Viva La Vida, but I bought Mylo Xyloto out of loyalty.... haven't bought one since tho.

A Rush of Blood to the Head will forever be my favorite album.

Surprisingly their most haunting newish song wasn't even from the album titled Ghost stories. Lmao

I love Cemeteries of London. wish they'd go back to their Viva La Vida sound, sometimes.

There still so many good songs on it. It's totally solid. Wish I could say the same about MX onwards, but nope. Lol

This song is so unlike anything else they made, it remains an overlooked masterpiece.

Then these two sound like a newer version of their older songs:

They really should've made more music like this imo.

I agree with Coldplay. I listened to Viva La Vida sooo much when it came out. I also think A Rush of Blood to the Head is the most perfect album I've ever listened to, even though I still have others that are more my favorite.
