I hope that this isn't the beginning of the show trying to redeem MPG's character. I don't mind him having a backstory because most people aren't born evil. I think it's logical to show how he perpetuated the cycle of abuse. I just don't want the show to make him too sympathetic. I'm glad they waited until the season was almost over before we got a glimpse of his childhood.

The case of the week was less interesting, but I am glad that Margaret is finally seeking help so that she can heal enough to stop her nightly bus vigil. She has a daughter who is still alive and is willing to have a relationship her, so it was a relief to see her realize that prioritizing that would require her to break her years long routine. I'm sure it has given her a feeling of purpose while coping with his kidnapping but as the therapist pointed out, it's unlikely that the bus station is where he will appear if he is alive and somehow comes back.

It was only a handful of comments but people were sympathetic to Sir in the promo YT for next week. I'm not. I really like the show but redeeming his character would be a sure-fire way to get to stop watching. Though I really don't think they will go that route.

I agree it's good from a character point of view to see his background. I don't know that he can be redeemed without jail time and though they have said there won't be anything between him and Gabi which I believe, I don't think that "redemption" has been ruled out.

It may also explain why they have made it clear he didn't sexually assault either girl and that he I don't think has murdered anyone. There is still the mystery of what happened to the other girl he abducted, but if it turns out he didn't kill her...

I was surprised they actually had a failed rescue. Gabi's not found wall was so sad. I liked Margret visit to the therapist. I wonder if we will get more flashbacks form sir's life. I do not believe Gabi doesn't know what a Throuple is. lol

I'm anxiously waiting for someone to find out about sir. I'm thinking they are holding out for the finale.

I feel like more people might be familiar with the word polyamory. Throuple is such an awkward word. Or was she not familiar with the concept. I was watching the episode, but not as closely as usual so I sort of missed when they husband explained the situation.

Polyamory is not the same as a throuple, tho.

Polyamory is when one person has multiple partners.

A throuple is 3 people who are all in a relationship with each other.

It's good to have a failed rescue. I hope they throw more in once in a while. Sir having a sad backstory is cliche. The black neighbour being nice to him was a plot twist, but I'm not sure if they are trying to connect it to him kidnapping a black girl.

I thought the same thing when I saw he the black neighbor. I guess if we see that other girl he kidnap we will get our answer.

It could be he's somehow trying to replicate that time in his life by kidnapping black girls or maybe he ended up living in a black neighborhood as an adult so opportunity because his MO with Gabi seemed to be thinking he was a better father than her own father and he kidnapped Layla so Gabi would have a playmate.

It might be a cliche but do people without sad backstories/certain kinds of mental illness turn into serial child kidnappers.

I liked that episode. I enjoy the Sir back story.

Gabi needs to stop sucking. Oh man, when she lied to Lacey - I was mad. And being so ridiculous with Trent.

I immediately assumed the influencer planned her own kidnapping, so I was surprised their were actual kidnappers! Lol.

Anyone else notice the reference to Lularoe?
