Yeah this kinda tracks because I remember Catherine saying a few years she wanted to cast more poc but Stephanie wasn’t for it.

yeah iirc catherine wanted to cast several members of the cullen family as poc (e.g. alice as asian? idr) but meyer wasn't having it. the most she would acquiesce to was casting one of the villains as poc. racist mormon, that tracks.
