But would she still use that hideous blue filter?

The blue filter was the best thing lbr, the other movies looked worse with the golden filter.

The blue filter is so iconic I actually bought my sister one of those little twilight blue filter keychains as a small part of her Christmas gift. I almost bought my little brother one as well but we open gifts youngest to oldest so it would spoil the surprise.

I mean it made the movie stand out and it's one of the things that people remember most about the first movie. They'll prob use it again if they remake it.

the blue filter is like bjork's swan dress, most of us were wrong about it at the time and failed in recognizing it as immediately iconique

Her impact. David Fincher is still using hideous filters to this day. He simply adores the piss filter.

my god this movie was SUCH a letdown!! I saw it with a friend in the theater (prescreening before it went up on netflix) and it was just so goddamn boring

Did you find the overuse of filters distracting? I could barely make it through the trailer

I didn't even notice, honestly. It starts out with a really long scene with a voice over - Fassbender talking about the practicalities of being a contract killer - and at first I thought oh, this will be interesting, we get small bits with voice over so we know his thoughts, because his character doesn't talk much. But the opening scene went on and on for like.. 5 minutes? The movie kind of puts you in a trance where very mundane things are shown in detail (to show that it's not glamorous to be a hit man, I assume) and then there's an explosion of violence, and then the mundane-things-trance starts again.
All the scenes are colorgraded so weirdly - I assume to underscore the bleakness of his existence - that the yellow filters didn't even stand out.
