YG Entertainment's new girlgroup BABYMONSTER make their debut with "BATTER UP"

BABYMONSTER is the new girlgroup of YG Entertainment, home to BLACKPINK. The members are Ruka (21), Pharita (18), Asa (17), Rami (16), Rora (15) and Chiquita (14). It was announced shortly before their debut that Ahyeon (16) would be sitting out on their debut due to health issues.

This is exactly what I expected AND incredibly dull. The lyrics are absolutely awful, the theme is exactly as expected. Just random nonsensical ‘I’m so pretty and cute and confident but ALSO hip hop you can’t stop me’ crap. There is literally no point in the debut of this group. They bring absolutely nothing new to the table and the only trend they are continuing is that they release music that was meant for the previous sweethearts of the company.

Seems like rejected 2NE1 songs were finally all used by Blackpink and now Babymonster is able to release reject Blackpink songs. YG is a terrible place for girl groups.

I hope they enjoy their debut and the 2-3 comebacks they’ll have over a span of 5 years before they will be replaced by whatever disgustingly young age they can get away with by then.
