I think Bailey is even slightly taller than Bomer but they are doing a great job of making him look like Bambi in front of the big bad wolf.

IDK, they try their best but in dialogue it's obvious he's supposed to be a 20 something twink in the flashbacks and then he takes off his shirt and he is ripped and the same size as Bomer with wrinkles to boot.

I wish they had just tweaked the dialogue so it didn't contradict Bailey's appearance so much.

I didn’t know there was an age difference factor

Bomer and Bailey have an 11 year age difference irl which also seems correct for their characters.

But in the '50s dialogue it's clear Bailey's character is supposed to be in his early 20s (he talks about just leaving university, he struggles to find work and when he does it's an entry level job, he lives in a shitty bedsit). Vs Bomer's character who is supposed to be older and debonair and established (he's a war hero, he is affluent and has connections, it's supposed to be getting weird that he's still unmarried etc).

At one point they want to role play so they can go out to dinner together and Bomer suggests they pretend they are uncle-nephew which also suggests there was supposed to be more of an obvious gap.

he was shooting bridgerton s3 at the same time as this show. it's why he was so ripped. (my takeaway: this just means more kanthony hotness coming up. we're sf blessed!)
