'The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes' opened this weekend to $5.8M brought in from Thursday night screenings. It's expected to rack in about $45M-$50M at 3,776 theaters this weekend, on a $100M budget (which is not a bad start).
Also out this weekend is the animated 'Trolls Band Together', expected to make $29.1M by Sunday; the horror 'Thanksgiving' with $10M; and Taika Waititi's latest 'Next Goal Wins' which is expected to bomb with $2.2M from 2,240 theaters.
