A follow up to today's post.
An attorney for Diddy, 54, denied the accusations amid Cassandra Ventura's filing. "Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations," his lawyer, Ben Brafman, told E! News in a statement. "For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura's persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs's reputation and seeking a payday."
However, Cassie's lawyer fired back shortly after the release of that statement.
“Mr. Combs offered Ms. Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit,” Cassie's lawyer Doug Wigdor told Deadline. “She rejected his efforts and decided to give a voice to all woman who suffer in silence. Ms. Ventura should be applauded for her bravery.”
Diddy's lawyer, Ben Brafmanl, was previously Harvey Weistein's lawyer, before ultimately dropping out of that case.
