It's so weird how little he does, but he has a social work background, and he just does some life coaching or some emotional support here and there briefly.

Which it shows…when I watched him host that Jerry Springer like talk show with The Pink Sauce Lady and the white girl who criticized the sauce by basically saying it was ranch dressing dyed with food coloring….I thought it was pretty messed up that he was hyping up the Con-Artist known as The Pink Sauce Lady and gaslighting that poor white girl.

I used to wonder that too, but I noticed that the episodes where the hero is more "stable" are the ones where Karamo is mostly useless lol. I think his background in social work is most useful for the ones who have bigger emotional problems or those who have heavy baggage with their friends and family. The motivational speeches and emotion exercises are a bit over the top sometimes, but they seem to be well-received by the person they're helping.
