Everything is absolutely awful but seeing the massive protest match in London this weekend and that demonic Suella woman get sacked has put the ghost of a smile on my face.

Here in France Macron kinda woke up a tiny bit and started asking Netanyahu to pretty please stop massacring civilians. It will have the same impact as his talks with Putin (so none) but it’s nice to finally see him acknowledging the orgy of war crimes Israel is committing.

The polls from most western countries show overwhelming support for a ceasefire from young people but we live gerontocracies so I have very little hope things will move in the right direction, politically.

It’s fucking insane how that’s happening like DAVID CAMERON? David Brexit Cameron?
As a foreigner who has lived in the UK before and after Brexit the country has gone downhill so quickly that mofo should be nowhere near the government

Literally. They’ve ran out of conservative politicians after ousting all the centre-right ones to get more hard-right pro-boris ones in power, so now they’re recycling scraps.

What I find most upsetting is that this will probably make the conservatives more popular because they’re all about that blast-from-the-past bs, plus the labour party is still clinging on to Kier Starmer despite him being a carbon copy of every bog-standard tory backbencher, so this lot will probably never get voted out.

Starmer is sf vile and incompetent and is only still there since he’s benefitting from the Tories being in shambles.

I’d love for JC to join the Greens and for them to take it, Labour is such a joke these days

In a human level I don't want Jeremy Corbin to run for PM after how the everyone, the press, people in his own party made him a monster racist when he's been an activist for antiracism since before those people were born. I followed a bit those elections because of his conection with Chile and his anti dictatorship activism and I coulnd't believe how the press treated him, idk how he didn't lost his sanity with the relentless trashing

Idk I don't think so. I think everyone's sick of the Tories at this point, and David Cameron isn't only responsible for Brexit but austerity as well. And he had a huge lobbying scandal afterwards.

Starmer's probably going to be PM since it's all been handed to him on a silver platter but hopefully the rise of the Greens and independents will be enough to steal a majority from him.

Danny Dyer is trending again because of his evergreen David Cameron comments.

I will admit I don't follow British politics on a micro level but it feels like there's oligarchies and there's whatever the British are doing where they just pull the same politicians out of the recycle bin, dust them off, and send them back in
