There is no proof he was either of those things though, plus I didn’t actually say he wasn’t, though I don’t personally think he was unsupportive. Insecure? Maybe, but a lot of us are about one thing or another. I don’t think they were the best match for forever, but his personality type certainly worked for the place she was in life at the time. He clearly didn’t want to be seen as Taylor swifts boyfriend, which is not a mindset suited for being her partner, but that doesn’t mean he was unsupportive.

Yeah, people who think he’s the world’s worst bf are delulu. First of all yall don’t know these people and second of all, they were together for close to 7 years. But clearly he didn’t enjoy being with someone that famous, which is fair. It’s a tough life.

I agree. We don’t know them or how they were and for every suspected lyric that’s about trouble in their relationship, there’s like two about how wonderful it was. And I agree, I don’t think he has come across like the type to enjoy that kind of fame and want to soak it up. He certainly could have at numerous opportunities if he wanted, but he didn’t. Something a lot of swifties praised him for while they were together. He wasn’t using her, he was in it for love, etc

Yeah I really hate how some of her fans are being ugly about him, he was what she needed at the time and they became incompatible. He was always being himself and she wasnt (bc of the kanye kim stuff) so thats not really on him. I am also sure the privacy at the beginning was her idea and maybe that was built in and he didnt totally realize it was such a big deal later. There really is no need to make him a villain.

I totally agree. His personality was clearly what she wanted and probably needed at the time. And like you said, she had no issue enjoying the privacy in the beginning. Definitely could have been at her request. It worked for the time and when she was done laying low it didn’t. Until we learn otherwise, there’s just no reason to build a story about how he was unsupportive and basically holding her captive from being her true~ self.

Yeah I actually can relate to him on the level where he just is not as naturally excitable and extroverted as Taylor is. I think he did love her, and did his best to make it work, but their personalities just dont mesh. When she is being herself and not hiding and in the dumps she needs someone a little more energetic and goofy, which Travis is.
