I like Maya Hawke's distinctive voice, but I'm not really sure it says 'anxiety' to me...? I feel like Ayo Edibiri could be a good fit.

also I just read that Mindy Kaling and Bill Hader bailed on the sequel because they were offered 100K each while Amy Poehler's getting $5 million, plus bonuses????? Kind of stunned Amy was OK with that.

Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith were also only offered $100K, which is also insane. the first movie made a ton of money, it won the Oscar. there shouldn’t be that big of a pay disparity between the cast

Especially since Mindy and Bill are pretty damn popular themselves for their comedy roles are easily a draw for audiences.

yep Hader has a ton of awards and acclaim from Barry, Mindy is a big producer now. they bring name recognition, and they’re super busy so if they were going to do this they’d need to be paid well. also Hader has done uncredited work for Pixar in the years since Inside Out so it’s just kinda weird they lowballed him

From what I've read about the whole debate surrounding (not) paying the performers at UCB, which she co-founded, that seems to be very true. :\

Hader provided additional dialogue for the first movie, just like Poehler did so it wasn’t a truly bit part. and Phyllis Smith got offered $100K according to reports and she was basically the second lead in the first movie

Yeah the dynamic between Phyllis and Amy were basically the emotional (pardon the pun) center of the movie.
