Anyway, last night's screening of Y Tu Mamá También was fantastic - always fun to watch funny movies with a crowd. I just rewatched it a little over a year ago, but I somehow forgot exactly how horny it is (extremely!) and also how much the end kills me (I cry every time). It's so funny, so sweet, so realistic, and well-paced. Maybe my favorite movie from Mexico?
Tonight, we're going to the reopening screening of The Killer at The Egyptian Theatre. Netflix helped restore the theater, and will be screening things there (alongside screenings from a local film collective), so they made a short doc about it that's on Netflix- here's a little clip from that:
Gonna watch the whole thing before we go. Excited to see how it looks in person!!
This weekend, trying to get to The Holdovers + maybe The Marvels, and seeing Laura (1944) on Sunday.
