November 9, 2023 After 118 days on strike, SAG-AFTRA has officially reached a tentative agreement on a new three-year contract with studios. The SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical Committee approved the agreement in a unanimous vote on Wednesday, SAG-AFTRA announced. The strike will end at 12:01 am Thursday.
Both sides spent the last few days finalizing the deal. It will see the first-ever protections for actors against AI and a historic pay increase. The deal will see most minimums increase by 7% - 2% percent above the increases received by the Writers Guild of America and the Directors Guild of America.
The full details are expected to be released Friday, after the national board vote.
