32x7: Music Video Night The eight remaining couples prepare for an electrifying night as they perform dances to songs behind the most iconic music videos; guest judge Paula Abdul.
The #1 all time best thing about this week's episode was that every dance used the original version of the music. No shitty covers for a whole week!!!! That's enough of a reason for me to like music video week.
If they do this theme again, they should just dispense with the ballroom for the week and assign everyone jazz so they can just do the music video aspect without trying to cram in ballroom too. It seemed unfair that half of the dancers got to just do whatever they wanted to recreate the videos while the other half had a lot more content constraints.
High five to Daniella for giving Jason an actual jazz routine instead of a mishmash of ballroom lite (which is often what we get stuck with for jazz routines).
I generally like Artem, but that was really weak/lame choreography for a Janet Jackson jazz routine.
Pasha was smart enough to know that you can't do a routine to I'm a Slave 4 U without including some of the iconic choreography!
Brandon did a decent job incorporating some Shakira moves into a salsa routine.
I"m generally not a fan of any of the group/team dances but it was clear that the Gangnam Style routine was better. The best part about the Backstreet Boys routine was the same sex pairings we got at the end. And from the short bit we saw of Jason at the beginning of that routine, it looks like Latin dances might end up being his weakness.
I am really confused as to how Lele had the third highest final score yet got eliminated. In comparison, how is Harry still here? (I know the answer is his rabid fanbase voting for him and I hate it because he was awful again this week).
I thought the same about Jason in that routine but then I don't remember thinking he was that bad at the other Latin routines he's done before? and he did rumba early on which is easy to look terrible doing
