I'm curious - are any of them considered successful solo acts? I don't live in the UK so I can't tell. Cheryl was, I assume, right? but was she ever as big as the band was? I know Nadine sold her album exclusively at Tesco, idk if that translated to sales though lol

I had a soft spot for Nicola and wish she had released another album, but alas

Im pretty sure Cheryl’s was successful, she released the most albums and had hits. FFTL went #1 in the UK iirc.

cheryl had a few successful albums but then like a lot of uk exclusive pop acts, interest in her music career cratered and she hasn't released anything (singles or albums) since 2019 which if we're being honest is probably a big reason why this hypothetical reunion is happening and frankly i am celebrating that cause her solo music was never *as* good as the group's

everybody else has been varying levels of "famous on name recognition but not enough for them to have viable solo careers in music" like sarah won celebrity big brother, nicola won masked singer uk, nadine was on drag race uk etc

yeah I never found Cheryl's pop music particularly intriguing, but by god was she churning out albums for a while there but this post led me to realize I hadn't actually heard about her in a long time lol

I quite liked Nicola's "Beat of my Drum", but it did badly in the charts. I think the UK/IRE gay community loved it though. Nadine's "Insatiable" was... ok. Cheryl had the most success chart-wise but I found most of her tracks quite annoying.

Nicola's debut album was really good - she never got the credit she deserved!

I never listened to it, but I heard good things! Cheryl is massively overrated IMO - would much rather have seen/heard more from the other girls.

Nicola’s album was so, so good. It was a bit too ahead of its time for traditional River-Island-Turkey-teeth brits though so they never gave it the attention it deserved. :(
