Truly! And I hated Sutter's reasoning to kill off Tara was to see Jax lose his moral compass. We already saw him lose his moral compass in 5 and 6!! It should've ended with her alive, Gemma never able to see the kids again, and Jax going to prison.

It never rang true to me having Gemma kill her in such an out of control rage either. For all that she was a total Lady Macbeth, she rarely got her hands bloody - and when she did it was in straight up self-defence or some kind of tussle where the death was accidental. It just wasn't Gemma's MO, at all.
