Killmonger really wasn’t a bad guy tbh he was a traumatized antihero in a way at least from what I remember and idk the comic version at all

I mean even in the movie he kills his girlfriend and a lot of black people 😬 He spoke well (and was hot) but his actions were that of a capitalist tyrant. Nakia was the real hero who was right about everything.

I mean I can’t argue with that I guess its better to say he wasn’t a typical villain

For sure - a lot of his actions weren't exactly justified but he was complex in his reasoning and deserving of sympathy for how he got there.

Yeah I liked the African proverb I think they shared in the movie right? About how a child not embraced by a village will burn it down to feel its warmth? It didn’t excuse what he did but I see how his character got there

Exactly! Like T'Challah and his father also share some of the blame. And the film really explores a lot of ways of viewing the world based on your upbringing and position. Nakia gets it right because she's loved but not sheltered.

He killed people in the museum, but other than that, I agree.

Kilmonger was deeply sympathetic, that's one reason that movie is so good!
