Aaron Tveit & Sutton Foster to star in Sweeney Todd
Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford are leaving the Broadway production of Sweeney Todd on January 14. Tony winners Aaron Tveit and Sutton Foster will take over the lead roles for a 12 week engagement from February 9 through May 5.
Sutton Foster has starred in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Little Women, The Drowsy Chaperone, Young Frankenstein, Shrek, Anything Goes, Violet, and The Music Man, earning seven Tony nominations. She also starred in the tv series Bunheads and Younger.
Aaron Tveit has starred in Hairspray, Wicked, Next to Normal, Catch Me If You Can, and Moulin Rouge! You may also recognize him as Tripp van der Bilt on Gossip Girl, Enjolras in the movie adaptation of Les Misérables, FBI special agent Mike Warren on Graceland, or Danny/Topher on Schmigadoon/Schmicago.
