I remember I was on a big fairytale retelling kick with the books I was reading, and somehow came across a recommendation for The 10th Kingdom. I think rented it from Blockbuster 😂

14 million people watched the first episode for for the millennial super fans most of us discovered it on DVD lmao. It must still be popular, they've rereleased it several times, even on bluray!

I was just thinking about the scene where Virginia performs "We Will Rock You" the other day, weirdly enough. It was such a fun series. I remember I really wanted to see the Red Riding Hood inspired kingdom.

Now that time has passed *cringes at 23 years and remembering how old Scott Cohen is now, which means OH GOD how old am I?!* and stuff, I still have an idea for at least a sequel miniseries.

Like, remember how the series wasn't very diverse? I know Once Upon a Time kinda did something like this, but I thought it would be fun if they discovered other portals to different fairytale universes, because obviously northeastern European myths weren't the only ones.

But as I tell everyone, if you are ever bored, Scott Cohen on youtube doing interviews and random videos about The 10th Kingdom still is so cute. He is very onboard for a sequel. He's also on Cameo if you have $75 to throw at him LMAO.

I think a lot more people recently discovered it with this video. Well, not a LOT, but a good number.

If it came out nowadays, it would be a massive success with the number of viewers it had, but it was VERY expensive for TV haha.
