Wild that they waited til today to release a full trailer when it literally opens today.

I often wonder what the directors who have partnered with streamers think about the relative lack of promo for some of their films. I guess that ideally, making the project you want with a decent budget + guaranteed distribution is great, but when basically no one know it exists and/or it disappears into the back catalog in a week, that has to sting a bit.

Anyway, I'm seeing it with a Fincher Q&A when they reopen The Egyptian in Hollywood in a couple weeks:

“The 101-year-old Egyptian Theatre, one of the oldest and most iconic of Los Angeles’ classic movie palaces, is set to open its doors again on Nov. 9 after undergoing an extensive renovation to restore it to its original glory.” Big news in @latimes today! https://t.co/XJWRnJAN6q

Really curious to see how the theater looks in person - the screen looks so tiny in photos. I hope it's good, because Netflix bought the theater, so I'm sure that's where I'll have to go if I want to see any of their movies in a theater.

I had plans that night (enjoy Fincher for me) but I did snag a ticket for Maestro so I could check out all of the renovations myself. I still miss The Egyptian being part of American Cinematheque.

AC is still going to program there on weekends after they open, so I'm happy about that, anyway!
