I don't know why people want to board first anyway other than to make sure their carry-on isn't checked. It's hard not to hit those people making your way down the aisle.
I always pick window so I'm good with this change.
According the the Mythbusters experiments where they had volunteers (with a carry-on) board a airplane mock-up, and they timed it, then asked people to rate each boarding plan. Back-to-front was confirmed as the slowest, with the third lowest satisfaction score. But Reverse Pyramid (a combination of back-to-front and WILMA) was significantly faster than back-to-front, and the most satisfying.
