Hmm, accidentally ripping off a separate bra top on the superbowl stage and letting the person I did it too have her iconic career destroyed would probably do it.

Oh or maybe breaking up with my very public first relationship and then turning around and dragging that woman as a means for clout in my debut solo single days.

OH! or maybe using either or both for easy clout when I needed media clicks

OHH!!! or maybe the idea of trotting out old fellow group mates in order to get positive attention because I've had too many moments where I showed my ass.

I definitely think so. She would have been protected or if it was someone ala a Madonna people would eventually have gotten over it. But because of how black women are sexualized and because Janet had sexual elements in her work the general (white) public was quick to discard her and protect 'poor innocent uwu Justin' while he left his 'idol' hang out to dry.
